Very quiet well appointed and very friendly operators. On highway 1 but noise was not an issue even with the trucks that used the premises. The restaurant provided a very enjoyable meal with a great selection and very reasonable prices. The wine list was adequate and again not overly expensive. Thoroughly recommend as a gateway to the mountains and Lake Taupo. Stayed September 2014, travelled as a couple
